Brogent (5263) and AUO (2409), a leading display panel manufacturer, have collaborated to create a LED immersive spherical flight simulator to be unveiled today (Apr 27th) at the Touch Taiwan 2022 Display International exhibition. This next-generation immersive flight simulator cockpit features Brogent's six degrees of freedom simulation platform, AUO's exclusive display technology and LED screens, providing the most exciting and realistic flight experience with 4K UHD content.
This latest generation simulator cockpit features one of the most advanced technologies of Brogent and creates a complete immersive experience and a metaverse gaming cockpit that has long been the dreams of gamers. The design replaces the VR glasses with an LED dome screen, allowing players to better see the dashboard and maneuvering configuration for a more comfortable and intuitive flying experience. Players will ride in the cockpit of an aircraft equipped with simulation technology, select their flight destination and then freely control the aircraft to navigate in the virtual world. In the future, the equipment will be combined with 5G technology, which will allow players to compete with each other in real-time at different places. In addition, the product has already received inquiries from overseas theme park customers during the development stage, and is set to become a high-end personalized entertainment product offered by Brogent in the future, opening up new markets for the company.
Brogent noted that according to the latest financial reports of Disney World, the total revenue of its theme park operation in the Q4 2021 had recovered to pre-pandemic levels during the same period in 2019 (Q4 2019). Large theme parks in the U.S. and Japan are seeing crowds of people and the market is showing signs of recovery. To address the post-epidemic recovery of the theme park market, Brogent will introduce new technologies into its high-end, mid/large entertainment system equipment to create all-new immersive experiences.
According to Brogent, in the future, as the market for the metaverse technology becomes more and more mature, for a more compelling experience of reality in the virtual world, it is necessary to leverage high-tech ride equipment in order to make the experience indistinguishable between the virtual world and reality. In this regard, Brogent’s simulation technology will be a key part of the development of metaverse, creating a realistic sensation of being present in the virtual world.
